It was in this demarcated region that, in the 1990s, the adventure of wanting to do something different began, and it all started at Quinta Picos do Couto, which naturally has a special meaning for us.<\/p>\n

This estate, located in the municipality of T\u00e1bua, together with all the others that we have been adding over the years, already total an area of over 30 hectares of vineyard, producing red, white, sparkling and ros\u00e9 wines.<\/p>\n

Its grape varieties – Chardonnay, Encruzado, Malvasia Fina, Bical, Touriga Nacional, Jaen, Tinta Roriz – convey to Quinta Picos do Couto wines a modern and appealing profile, in line with new trends.<\/p>\n

Our wine production in the D\u00e3o Demarcated Region extends to the municipality of Penalva do Castelo, where we have two estates.<\/p>\n

Quinta do Mosteiro, directly influenced by the freshness and humidity of the D\u00e3o River, has more than 130 hectares distributed between forest and agricultural land (about 80 hectares) and 50 hectares of vineyards that make it one of the largest in the D\u00e3o Demarcated Region. Here we can find the following grape varieties: Chardonnay, Encruzado, Gouveio, Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Alfrocheiro, Jaen, Touriga Franca.<\/p>\n
