Our strategy to enter the Douro demarcated region focused, as in the Dão, on the acquisition of vineyards with terroir and an excellent track record in grape production, while keeping our long-term commercial purposes in mind
Therefore, we focused our search on the Pocinho Valley where we have about 40 hectares of the best vineyards, spread over three wine estates (Quinta das Braceiras, Vale Marianes and Vale da Vila) and more than 30 hectares of olive groves and other permanent crops.
Dão
It was in this demarcated region that, in the 1990s, the adventure of wanting to do something different began, and it all started at Quinta Picos do Couto, which naturally has a special meaning for us.
This estate, located in the municipality of Tábua, together with all the others that we have been adding over the years, already total an area of over 30 hectares of vineyard, producing red, white, sparkling and rosé wines.
